The Hellenic Institute of Egyptology, in close collaboration with the Coptic Orthodox Church (of the Coptic Patriarchate of Egypt) in Athens and the Women’s Union of Greece (E.G.E.), has organized the invited lecture of our new General Secretary and Founding Member, Prof. Dr Sherin Sadek ‘el-Gendi (Professor of Coptology at the University ^cAin Shams of Cairo), at the premises of the Cultural Centre of the Municipality of Athens (“Antonis Tritsis” Hall), with great success. The Speaker impressed the audience by presenting with clarity her very interesting topic Women in Coptic Egypt from Antiquity to the Present Day.
