A lecture of the Institute’s President Dr Dr Alicia Maravelia, with the very interesting topic Ancient Egyptian Astronomy: Celestial Periodicities as Cosmographic Allegories for the Quest of Immortality, took place with great success in Thessaloniki, co-organized by the Science Centre NOESIS and the Hellenic Institute of Egyptology. Between the distinguished guests were present the Director of the Laboratory of Astronomy of the Section of Astrophysics, Astronomy and Mechanics of the Department of Physics of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Prof. Dr Nikolaos Stergioulas, the Emeritus Professor of Nuclear Physics of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki Dr Anastasios Liolios, the Director of the Planetarium of Thessaloniki Mr Demetrios Tsambouras, and many more. The Speaker was foreworded by the General Director of the Foundation ΝOESIS Mr Evangelos Afthonidis.
