The Institute’s President, Dr Dr Alicia Maravelia, participated (online) in the hybrid triennial Great Conference of the International Astronomical Union, on the occasion of its 32nd General Assembly, with a poster paper related to the special Research Project Digitization and Complete Study of the Ancient Egyptian Astronomical Texts that the Institute is currently running.
The Institute’s President Dr Dr Alicia Maravelia participated (online) in the celebration of Astronomy Day in Schools (ADiS), which was organized on the occasion of the Summer Solstice by Division C of the International Astronomical Union.
Dr Dr Alicia Maravelia, President of the Hellenic Institute of Egyptology, Full and Active Member of the International Astronomical Union, was elected as Member of the Organizing Committee of Commission C4, World Heritage and Astronomy, for the period August 2024 until August 2027.
