Amid the pandemic, the Institute begins with great success and participation of numerous students, in collaboration with the Archaeological Society of Alexandria, the Second Online Egyptological Seminar. Meanwhile, the advanced courses are continuing successfully online (all of them via Zoom).

A new Memorandum of Understanding and Mutual Collaboration (MoU) has been signed by the Institute and the Archaeological Society of Alexandria. Between other new ventures, the international publication of the institute’s journal (JHIE) has been agreed to be joint, with the Society and the Institute as equal partners, as well as collaboration in Research Projects.

With some delay, due to the pandemic conditions, the Proceedings of the 1st Egyptological Conference of the Institute in Athens (Environment & Religion in Ancient & Coptic Egypt: Sensing the Cosmos Through the Eyes of the Divine) have been published by Archaeopress: Archaeopress Egyptology 30. Amid the pandemic, the Institute has initiated with success, and in co-operation with the Archaeological Company of Alexandria, with 15 members, the First Online Egyptological Seminar. Pilot lessons for the advanced cycles had already started in April 2020. The courses started via Skype and were later and permanently continued via ZOOM.

The 2nd Egyptological Conference of the Institute in Athens has been successfully organized and took place with many participations of distinguished Egyptologists, Coptologists & other Scientists at the premises of Hotel Titania: Quod est Superius est Sicut Quod est Inferius – The Cosmic Hypostasis and Earthly/Social Function of Women During Antiquity in Egypt & in the Mediterranean
