The 6th Volume of the Institute’s Egyptological Journal (JHIE = Journal of the Hellenic Institute of Egyptology) has been successfully and internationally published by the Institute, the Archaeological Society of Alexandria and the University cAin Shams, by SERAPIS Editions, featuring 10 original papers, 7 book reviews, chronicles and 2 obituaries.

The 13th General Assembly of the Institute (Constitutional) has taken place with particular success at the accommodating premises of Evgenides’ Foundation (Lecture Hall of the Athens Planetarium). During the Assembly the President presented the new revised and ameliorated Statute and the new Board to the new Principal Fellows of the Institute. Everything has been unanimously approved.

The Institute’s President, Dr Alicia Maravelia, participated online as an invited keynote speaker in the 3rd International Symposium on Interdisciplinary and Progressive Arts & Education (ISIPAE), held in Antalya (Turkey), whose current topic was Art and Humanity. She successfully presented the lecture “Music in Ancient and Coptic Egypt: A Hoard of Metaphysical Art for all Humanity”.

Dr Alicia Maravelia participated in person in the great quadrennial Congress of the International Association of Egyptologists The Future of Ancient Egypt (ICE XIII), which took place in Leiden (Holland), where she presented with great success her paper “Stars, the Firmament or Skyscapes of Light? A new book authored by Dr Alicia Maravelia, The Shipwrecked Sailor’s Tale: The most Ancient Egyptian Adventure, appeared by FERENIKI Publications. It is an adaptation of the Story of the Shipwrecked Sailor for children … of any age, with attractive drawings by Mrs Iris Hoogewej, Archaeologist. The book is handled by the Publisher and can be found in big bookstores

The second part of the Athens Mummy Project, i.e.: the CT-Scanning of the remaining four mummies from Panopolis, took place with great success, in absolute coordination and with adequate media coverage.
